Welcome to Westpark Daycare!
We want to take this opportunity to welcome all of you back and especially our new parents.
For those of you who are not familiar with our daycare policies and procedures:
PLEASE READ THE PARENT HANDBOOK 2017 – 2018.
It contains important information regarding operational policies and procedures.
Communication with you is essential in order to maximize quality service for your child/children. We shall be sending newsletters and memos periodically during the course of the school year. I have begun to post the daycare’s newsletters on the Westpark Daycare website. Please refer to the “Daycare Bulletin Board” (situated on the wall beside the girls’ bathroom) for additional information concerning the daycare.
This year the Westpark School Staff has extended the parking area and has extra parking spaces in the front for early daycare parents.
We urge you to drive carefully and respect the parking regulations for the safety of all members of the Westpark Community, including your own family.
Early Morning Daycare
Please take note that Early Morning Daycare isavailable to students who are register in this program and begins at Children in the Early Morning Daycare be accompanied by an adult directly to the daycare door. Please abide by this rule at all times. After 7:55 a.m. the children should join the other students in the school yard. When entering or leaving the parking lot, please ensure that you drive slowly and cautiously at all times. We do not want parents or staff “bumping” into each other.

Margaret Gogoris is the Daycare Technician of the Westpark Daycare.
The Homework Program begins the second full week of school and ends the first week in June. The educators responsible for the homework supervision are available to encourage and to assist, but the homework is primarily the responsibility of each child. If a student is misbehaving or is disruptive during the homework period, he/she will be sent to the daycare office.
It is essential to maintain communication with the teachers and parents throughout the year to help your child if he/she is having difficulty coping with the assigned homework.
It is the responsibility of the parents to inform themselves of any updated information regarding upcoming daycare events or ped days. Information is available to all daycare parents and is posted on the Daycare Bulletin Board. Ped day registrations are given when you pick up the children from daycare.
The Ped. Days operate from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Early Morning Daycare is available ONLY for those students registered in the program.
In order to plan and book well in advance, we insist that the deadline dates for Ped.Day registrations are respected.
Emergency Medical Treatment Form: This form is necessary to complete for each Ped.Day your child/ren will attend.
